I have put a new page up with photoes people have sent to me of the growing "teenagers". Thanks for everybody for keeping in touch, Im always really happy hearing about my babies progress :) Pictures here.

19th October 2005

Maggie has been mated on the 17th of October to the wonderful Ch Stargus Dante in Tebross. For further info on him including pedigree, see here. Both dogs have been hip scored with the result of 9. We are now eagerly awaiting the arrivals of the puppies (if all goes well) on the 19th of December!

Today Maggie has an ultrasound scan, where it was confirmed that she is indeed expecting. :) Nothing more that tiny little blobs yet tho, too small to confirm numbers.

Last night after much heaving the puppies were born. I went to bed at 2am after 5 puppies were born as I thought it was all over - only to wake up in the morning to find 9 !! They are all happy and healthy, just a joy to watch. You can see some newborn pictures here.

This week the puppies have opened their eyes. They are doing very well, gaining weight by the day. It is just scary how quickly they are growing up. Pictures here.

Today we heard the first little woof. The puppies also waddle about now on their weak little legs, but its never long before the weight of their tummy gives into gravity, and their 4 little legs go 6 ways... :) They have learnt if they sit down in a group and make enough howling noise, their Mum will turn up with the milkbank... Maggie developed a habit of standing above them cleaning them up, and when she finished she lays down to feed them. Well some puppies just dont have the patience to wait that long, and the acrobatics they perform trying to climb on each others backs to reach the milk is hilarious. I have uploaded some more pictures.

Its now Sunday, and we had a weekend of non-stop visitors coming to pick out their puppies. We now only have 1 little girl left. I have tried to upload some pictures I have taken, sorry if your ribbons are not always visible, but Im sure you can tell which little devil is yours. :) Pictures are here.

The puppies are 5 weeks old now. They have been wormed for the second time, and I took some more pictures at playtime - sorry if your collars are not always visible, just send me an email and I will try and take individual pictures if I can. The puppies have a really healthy appetite, and they can really make a noise when they are hungry! Playtime is crazy, can you imagine a room full of seven puppies going 'mental' - I do warn you, hide your brushes and anything chewable away! :)

Here are the puppies at 6 weeks of age. Im afraid all the puppies have now been sold. Time seems to fly so fast, its nearly time for them to go to their new homes, they will be greatly missed. :(

Only 1 more week to go before the puppies go to their new homes. This will be the last pictures taken when they all all together, but I hope people will keep in touch and send me updated photoes!
