Im afraid the weather hasnt been all that good when I tried to take pictures this week, so they all came out a bit dark - still I have taken individual photoes of them all. Enjoy. :) Airedale puppies at 6 weeks old.

Another long weekend, just went past so quickly. The pups are developing useful social skills, learning the pack order, fighting over toys and food, knowing when it starts to hurt when someone bites hard! Thanks to a good friend this week we have some special photoes - he uses a very good camera.

The puppies had an exhausting weekend with lots of visitors, they seemed to have enjoyed the attention, tho struggled to keep awake after a while, and slept like a log all evening, which was a bliss! All puppies have been chosen by their new families - thanks for everyone who got in touch regarding calling names, we have a Bertie, Islay, Buffy, Archie, Oliver and Fin now! Link to the photoes.

We had the first little woofs and growls now - the puppies are becoming playful now, and dont just spend all day sleeping or eating! I have started weaning the pups as Mum is struggling a bit with too many hungry mouths to feed! Link to the photoes.

30th June 2007

The puppies have now all opened their eyes, and they starting to waddle about on their weak little legs, which keep collapsing underneath them due to the size of their tummy - their Mum is keeping them well, every little noise they make, she is there with the milkbar to comfort them! Their little teeth are starting to show through the gums now, I bet Maggie is happy they arent biting her yet! I have uploaded some photoes, I shall try and take more later.

16th June 2007

Today Maggie's puppies were born - 7 boys and 3 girls! Labour was long and very tiring, started at 6pm (had to record Dr Who!) and didnt finish till 2am. 5 boys arrived first in succession, I was just about to give up hope on any girls when a little girl popped out as 6th! Its a very healthy happy litter, and very noisy rigth now! See the first pictures here.

After a successful first litter Maggie has been mated  to Ch Stargus Devil's Due. For further info on him including pedigree, see here. Both dogs have been hip scored with a very low result. If all goes well the puppies will be born around the 20th of June, 2007. Take a look at the planned litter's pedigree.
