| 2/6/2010 12:00:00 AM | Zsuzsa | airedale coat | I think if you brush the hair regurarly to remove the dead hairs so it does not end up getting matted, no clipping is necessary. Airedales are a lot of fun, definately recommend getting one. :) |

my wife and i Absolutly, Totally fell in love with a dog we saw whilst walking in the woods. He was a huge friendly hairy teddy bear!! the owner said he was his Airdale of 5 yrs old but loved him the way he was and nrver had him clipped??? he was in our eyes beautiful! would it be causing a pet Airdale problems if it were not clipped?
many thanks |

| 2/14/2009 12:00:00 AM | jill | nina [puli pup] | Nina is settled in nicely now,she loves playing in the garden, and watching the birds feeding from their table, but when a plane comes over she is most annoyed, looking up barking at it. she had great fun in the snow in fact she looked like a snowman every time i managed to get her to come in, then she just stayed at the patio window watching the flakes fall, untill she was once again aloud to venture out to play. her favourite toys are a dulux dog that she falls asleep on in a afternoon, and a pull rope that she plays tug of war with whoever she can. I'm so lucky to have her[thankyou so much] she has changed my life, i had forgot how delightfull it was to have a puli about the house. |

| 12/6/2008 12:00:00 AM | Debbie Wheawall | | It was interesting to hear from Archie's mum about how big he was. There are two other Airedales in the village (non related to Finn)and Finn is bigger than both of them. He stands at 66cm and weighs 31k (as of approx 8 weeks ago. I am thinking about taking him to agility classes after christmas. Finn has been a fantastic addition to our family and we get so many compliments when we take him out for his many walks. He is very sociable, loves people and other dogs, in fact he is obsessional about other dogs, wants to play with them all.
Are you in touch with all the pups or just some of them? |
| 11/27/2008 12:00:00 AM | Jo | Guest book | Congratulations on your lovely litter and on setting up your guest book! Will keep you posted on Meera's development (6 month Puli).
Just home from puppy training where she behaved perfectly! Jo |
| 9/13/2008 12:00:00 AM | Karen Bain | Archie's size | Archie stands at 63cm. His weight at last weigh in was 32k, (average airedale weight, I think I read somewhere was 25k). He is not fat just big all over. I hope he has stopped growing! |
| 9/6/2008 12:00:00 AM | Zsuzsa | Size of airedales | Well the official standard taken from the KC site is 58-61cm for dogs, 56-59cm for bitches. Maggie stands at 63cm so she is oversized, however the sire is perfect standard, so in theory the puppies should be to standard or slightly over if they inherited Maggie's side. How big does Archie stand? (You need to measure to the top of the shoulder blade) |
| 9/2/2008 12:00:00 AM | Karen Bain | Size of Airedales | Hi, just a query on the age the average Airedale stops growing as Archie is a big old boy (Vet's quote) and is far bigger than we thought Airedales were. The few Airedales we have seen have been much smaller and I wondered, as he wasn't the biggest pup of the litter, how big the other pups are.
Thanks |
